I must be a complete idiot. I just got my Droid coming over from a TP2. I have rooted the phone from the instructions on the first page. I then read all the posts here. For the life of me I am trying to do what Parkjam said in the second post trying to block ota updates. I typed it in exactly how it was written but it was a no go. Plus a whole bunch of other things. I'm sure after a few days of having this phone I'll pick things up but its going slow. Any help would be appreciated and please be kind on this noob

once you install SPR .99.3.b OTA is blocked within that.

Sorry, I have the moto Droid. I have successfully rooted it but I really don't what to do now. I will be more than happy to donate too

I know that with a rooted droid, I can do alot with it. At the same time I can brick it but I am not to worried about it. I want to learn how to do this stuff, correctly

So, have you installed busybox and sprecovery and performed a nandroid backup?
