Speach to text

this thing is cool. I can talk to it in reply to a text message and it recognizes what I say and puts it in the box to send out. Can we do the same thing for email???

Also, as this thing is connected to the rest of the world thru VZW, what is the use for WiFi.......? It'd be ok if I could WiFi it to the rest of the pooters in the network and move stuff around.......

The voice recognition on this phone is one of it's best features in my opinion. It's not 100% perfect, but I believe it's the best on a phone so far.

Reasons I use wi-fi:

  • Data + Voice simultaneously
  • Faster internet connection (though 3G is very fast itself)
  • Quality guaranteed streamed media (in my area at least)
And well.. that's about it. Short list. :D

I love the speak to navigate ability too. Just being able to tell my phone where to navigate me too rather that putting in an address is very convenient and eff-ing awesome to me.

It is actually in your settings folder/icon near the bottom third from the bottom right between accessibility and date and time....all you need should be there.

It's in an app called "talk to me" also. You speak into the mic, choose a language, and it will convert what you said into the other language and speak it for you. It edits out curse words though :(. There is also a keyboard that has a speech to text feature that you can use anywhere on the phone like your email.
