Re: Do you dig the Droid?

Thing I don't like:
no phone button, I hate the search button.
Keyboard buttons could be better
Hopefully we can reassign the front face buttons in mods to come
Also no zoom in/out in gmail app
No backwards delete
No undo (ctrl z)

Other things I want (all sw not hw)
a iso player app
A port of perl
Some sort of chron job app
I want to be aple to copy and paste

Every thing else I love

You can copy and paste by long pressing on any text area. I don't have any solutions for the other things though

Re: Do you dig the Droid?

Thought I would give KINGRYE a few tpis first. If you use Home++ you will have a phone button thats always on the screen as well as some other great options, check out the Home++ FTW thread. The Droid does copy and paste also, it's under the "more" options when you hit the menu button, or you can long press on text.

This phone does everything that a jailbroken iphone will right out of the box. If you want to install "3rd party apps" there's an option in settings for that. There's lots of options for customization right out of the box, and it's very capable. I visit a couple of Android forums, and for every 2 or 3 iPhone guys that try it out and decide to go back to an iPhone, there are 8 to 10 that love it way more than their old iPhone and wouldnt think about going back even if the iPhone came to a better network. In the end it's still going to be personal preference. Dig around in the forums some and play with one in a Verizon store.
