any one getting their OTa update yet

sounds like they are pushing out the update now... any one received it yet?

They are pushing them out but according to BGR only 1000 people got it earlier today. Another 9000 will get it at midnight tonight. Then 200,000 will get it on the 10th with 200,000 each day after until everyone has it.

You will see a notification to download. You can choose to do it then or delay if you are busy and then be reminded to do it occasionally if you delay. I think I read that if you then reboot the device it will install automatically during the delay.

I really like the "new" Verizon we're seeing here. I remember waiting for what felt like forever for an update to the Omnia...

This is the type of treatment to expect from a flagship device. They never really had one before the Droid, other than the Storm?

I'm not sure but I bet you should liking Google and Motorola right up there with VZW in getting OTA updates out. I get the feeling if we had yet another WinMo device, we'd waiting like we did with the Omnia and then have to contend with flashed ROMs rather than OTA updates.

I think it was a team effort and the Android OS lends itself to this type of update. And the exposure on the device as a "flagship" device is making all 3 companies work smarter.

its not winmo its how new this phone is and considering all the money spent in advertising for this phone. ( i herd tens of millions i would bet it comes down to money.
