Universal inbox & gmail

so how come gmail doesn't show up in my universal inbox?

Seems like they're actually encouraging me not to use it since its not included with the rest of the messaging services?

I don't even use the universal inbox that much, but it doesn't even show in the list of messaging services!

Universal Inbox is a part of Motorola Blur. Kind of silly that they wasted time to add this. It really confused me when I first got the phone. This being my first Android phone I had a hard time telling which applications were Motorola and which were Google.

Yeah Universal Inbox isn't so "Universal" when it comes to gmail. The native gmail application is what you want to use for gmail, nothing else comes close.

I don't use the Universal Inbox and I would suggest others not to use it as well.

but the thing is that I don't really use gmail. Yahoo is my main personal mail, and 'corp sync' for work.
Since gmail isn't even listed in the "messaging services" with the rest, now I really won't use it.
I miss that aspect of winmo where I could just swipe from side to side and it would switch accts.

I did find out elsewhere on the web that I can manually add gmail as another email acct then then turn off gmail sync to achieve it, but I probably just won't use gmail.
I'm just used to looking here first from my TP2 days and trying to stir up some action on this board.
