Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
After playing with both the Fascinate and the DX, I've decided to get the Droid-X on my upgrade date 10/20. Unless someone can prove it is evil and kills puppies...

Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
Well, it didn't take much for me to convert. Once I saw Bignadad went to Droid X, I talked to him a few min and then ordered one. Now that I have it and have it setup with his Serenity theme.. I am loving it. So fast and smooth.
I did love my TP2 though and didn't ever imagine going to an Android phone.. Sheesh, happy that I did. |
Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
I would have bet against me ever going to a google OS phone but here I am. This speaks volumes about how badly MS has handles their mobile products. Many of us have been screaming at MS for years to pull its head out but MS never listened to the users. The experience was always "clunky" on PPCs no matter the hardware, which was weak in itself.
Microsofts efforts can be summed up in the entire "Close" fiasco. Nearly everyone I know used a 3rd party memory mgt app to control open apps but MS never gave in to its users demands and the vociferous screams that MSs auto memory mgt sucked bad since the beginning. All in all the transition to Android has been fairly easy and the experience is much more elegant than any CE device I used. The OS lends itself well to a Phone unlike Win Mobile that always seemed as though the phone was just added on as a second thought. Everything jsut works better together. |
Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
Well I made the jump yesterday. Never though I wound do it. I love the flexibility of winmo. I love my TP2 with custom rom and cookie home editor, It gave me total flexibility. I do miss that. I suppose I'll find ways to do the same with android.
I am enjoying learning the DX and discovering new things and hunting for some that dont exist. I will learn to love or hate this phone, only time will tell. Do love the speed though! Rich |
Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
For all you TP2 converts out there I found a nice RDP client for android in the Market. It's called "Remote RDP Lite 3.0.3.

Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
After 5 years of Windows Mobile starting with an Ipaq in '05 I switched to the DX this past weekend. I don't have enough experience yet to ultimately say if I will like the DX and Android more than the TP2 or WM for that matter, but so far everything is so fast, smooth, convenient and efficient. Everything just...works. WM was never like that.

Convert..... Haven't looked back... Period..

Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
Had a TP2 and it was a flaming pile over garbage. What's crazy is I was just able to sell mine on ebay for $125. The Droid X is the realization of what a smartphone can truly be.

Re: Any TP2 Converts Here?
Considering the switch when the Thunderbolt comes out. Still using WM, and I really need to find out if I'll be able to use something similar to Internet Sharing with the Thunderbolt.
