Re: so...how do you do it...

Im sure you would have to be rooted so you would have access to certain system folders where the tones would be stored. Then once they are the right length and format and in the right place, I would assume you could do it just with with the 6800 where you could so into your settings and change tones

Re: so...how do you do it...

if you are trying to add, new text, email notifications ringtones etc.

do this, go into phones files make a new folder named Media, inside media make another folder name it Audio, then go into audio and make these 3 seperate folders Alarms , Notifications , Ringtones.

ex.....Media > Audio > Alarms Notifications Ringtones

then put your new sounds in the appropriate folder, you dont need to be rooted to do so

if you are just trying to add some new ringtones text tones and email notifications do this. you dont need to be rooted either.

go into Phone files make a new named Media, within the media folder make another folder named Audio, within Audio make 3 seperate folders name them Alarms, Notifications, and Ringtones. then put your new sounds in one of the three or all 3 folders

Ex... Media > Audio > Alarms, Notifications, Ringtones
