smotrs, thanks keep us posted because I'm loving having the 5 day on the main screen so thanks for the great job on that. Quick question, it there a program to get cities that aren't listed in the database for instance you can't find portland, maine in the db?

Is anyone having issues with weatherdatabaaseditor v.1.2. My issue is I'm using it with HD weather tab and it finds my city to add, but on the weather screen on TF3D it shows the letters ids_ in front of the day of the week on the five day forecast. I tried loading and unloading it and still the same thing. I tried the newer version 2.3, but that seems to only have the U.S and no other countries. Any suggestions or a fix would be appreciated...

I was never able to get the Weather Database to work with my phone for some reason, not sure why, it just never would. However, I was able to add, delete and modify cities using Weather Master here at XDA. Give that one a shot and see if you have the same problems.

I love having a 5 day forecast but I miss having the text when swiping the weather tab so I'll monitor the progress until then...

Luckily, Houston is already in the database.

Still in the process of de-compiling the main LUA file, results are getting better. In the meantime,

Animations have been fixed
Added additional image files and changed a few others
Added additional lua files referenced in main lua file
Country/City selector now extended to full length of screen

Yeah I know. But I have figured out how to properly decompile the LUA files. Now I'm in the process of rebuilding the LUA file with all the missing parts. Once I have that done then I can start adding new code to the LUA file and try to correct the issue.

I'd like to have it all contained within manila files rather then have to resort to installing the complete manila version from the HD just to get the 5 day forecast.

Have uploaded v1.0 on the first post, changelog is on the second post.

Went from v0.2.5 to v1.0 because other then cosmetic fixes needed (see ToDo), this is a fully functional version of the Weather TAB. So I thought it deserved a full version number.

Left v0.2.5 online for those that have a custom ROM that included portions of the HD manila. On those phones, the LUA files didn't need to be hacked for it to work properly.

I know that the animations have been fixed but is the wiper working? I have the HD port and someone said they were able to install this over the HD ported version. I really miss the wiper.

You can also check out the animations by tapping the top left and then right of the screen... kinda cool to show off the weather app...

Doesn't work in mine. I just installed this over TF3D HD & I can't see any difference (& the wiper definitely DOES NOT work)

Well, now it's working.

I deleted it & that messed my weather tab up big time,

At that point, I was ready to do a Sprite restore but I decided to try installing it again first as I had nothing to lose at that point. This time it worked fine & the wiper works.......

Did you accidentally download the 0.2.5 version or the 1.0 version (last attached file in first post). You would be the first to report that it doesn't work if you downloaded the later and not the former by accident.

The 1.0 version is the newest.

I only left 0.2.5 online because a number of people reported it worked without the text disappearing when switching cities, so I figured I'd leave it up for those odd few.

Ok, my impressions, as someone hugely anal about the way things should look and work:

1. Major issue was whether this would overwrite my custom cities using the Weather Editor, or if it would simply convert them. It simply converted them with no trouble.
2. The images look fine, albeit a little small, but thats the caveat for having something like this. The animations when switching from city to city is a little slow and laggy, but hey, it works!
3. Well its raining today, so i got to see the almighty wiper in action. When i first got the phone i thought it was the coolest thing. Something that small tells me that great detail went into creating this phone. However, with this cab install i noticed something else. The wiper left streaks when it wipes from right to left, and wiped them out in the left to right action! I dont remember seeing them before!

So. gratz on a good job and awesome looking/working port!

Damn man take a chill pill w/ that anal sh!t.
it is great work. if anybody wants tho, i have corrected the shapes so no more small looking icons.., no lag. can anybody tell me what file controls the text on the weather tab tho? its a little off and it can also be a little bigger.
