I got sum kwes-chuns
Can I install Manilla ver 2 alone on a clean Rom, or is it trully an upgrade only?
And do I "need" TouchFlo installed or will this work w/ out the independent install of TouchFlo?

Tryin to get a squeaky clean rom here....

Oh...and two-thumbs WAY up for Penguin's Manilla 2D Customizer....its almost SILLY to have Manilla installed without followin up w/ the M2DC. =D> (<- thats supposed to be clapping )

I get the NO PERMISSIONS error too.
I tried a Hard Reset, 24mb free...no M2DC installed, installed all the progs except Opra and GMaps in order....same error.
RUnnin NueRom pre3; tried it on High mem and Low mem settings, extracted it to MainMem/s My Documentsdir, no joy.

i agree, but the Manila 2D cab package is not up to me... new builds of Manila 2D are cropping up every couple of weeks so new packages may be easier to understand in the future

it is completely do able to isntall on a clean rom, I use nuerom3, run a sashimi setup, and then install the update 20 cabs (I personally don't use the opera or youtube cab because I don't use those programs)

there is no need to have the original touchflo installed at all.

Every time I try to install Manila 2D I always start with a hard reset

are you running the stoclk nuerom3 or a kitchen? I use the stock nuerom3 in high memory mode with no problems

I'm usin the PPC kitchen that points to NewRoms dirs in the USER_OEM dir (control freak )....Guess I can try the Stock & report back.

penguin... thanks for the reply. When I go into my HTC task mgr I don't see biotouch.exe running. Is there another way to shut it down? Thanks.

Alrighty then....if I load NueRom's pre3 direct (not via the kitchen) I get success w/ OODLES of RAM left over. Works great....unfortunately I miss some of the stuff in the kitchen . I'm guessin its the ExtRom doo-hicky thats screwin the pooch w/ my kitchen load.
For clarity: NueRoms ROM load, UPDATE20 top 3 files loading in order (skipped the ones I don't need) and finally the Manilla test cab.....All loaded...worked GREAT.

I'll fiddle around w/ my kitchen ROM & see if I can get it all loaded. Good to know that NO PREVIOUS MANILLA VERSION IS NECESSARY..the update 20 ver loads stand-alone.

Just installed M2d (on verizon xv6900 - vogue) and it is awesome. Couple questions though. Am I supposed to have 2 touch flo icons in teh system tab of settings?
Also for some reason I can't get the digital clock - pcarvalho - to work. Whenever I install it and soft reset I get a loop of - Tap the Screen to start Touch Flo - Touch Flo Starting - Tap the Screen to start touch flo. Any reason/fix for that? Do I need to install it in a different order? Thanks for the help.

Got the PPC Kitchen w/ NueRom's 3pre3 in the OEM-USER loaded and the UPDATE20 Manilla2d loads and works great. I think it was the Kithen's older Manilla and TFlo (which I DIDN"T include this time) that were causin trouble.

Anyway...thanks for the help. Sorry wamblej, I got no idea ..... I had a little touchflo prollem solved by a cab called "STOP" which prevented WM from unloading the TFlo between app useages. check out this thread & see if it heps ya....

i downloaded 11/3 update 20 from the 1st post and there is a cab file that says. m2d test 0.12.5.1.cab

is that the main software cab to install to turn your phone into this TF2d? and then install extra cab and install a theme next?
