Standard Windows Mobile SMS shortcut icon?
 

Although it is possible to use the Windows Mobile SMS, how can I create a shortcut for it? I know the phones not modified by this ArcSoft crap have a colored bubble for the standard SMS shortcut, and I wanted to get one as well to place on my Resco Today screen.

Currently SMS is only accesible through the E-Mail icon.

If you go into your windows folder, you'll see a tmailsms. Just copy that and past the shortcut into your startmenu>programs folder and rename it SMS/MMS or whatever. If you want to change the icon, you'll have to hack the registery and the icon will be named start_icon_SMS.png and it's in the windows folder already.

Thanks for your reply, however, after I moved the tmailsms.exe to the start menu and programs folder, I still cannot seem to find anything that says SMS (even after I had done a reboot) in the icon list. Do you know what the issue might be?

On my site ( Pizzaboy192.com/downloads/ ) I've got a V1 fix installer that I rolled up for my previous fix. all it does is install a SMS icon and hide the "messaging" one.

Thank you :-) I have recently gotten my HTC Trophy, but I am planning on using the Fathom at least before the Mango update rolls around. I'll try out the icon fix, and thanks for showing up on the forum and continuing to support this phone. Has there been any update beyond V7?
