ProSwitcher - Free OpenSource Multitasking iPhone App for Jailbroken iPhones
 

Ryan Petrich showcased ProSwitcher for jailbroken iPhones, ProSwitcher enables palm pre like multitasking for jailbroken iPhones. ProSwitcher app that shows exactly how simple power features can drastically improve the iPhone user experience. The basic idea behind ProSwitcher is you can switch between apps while automatically back grounding the app you leave. ProSwitcher integrates with Backgrounder similar to how Kirikae does it. ProSwitcher is highly customizable with the options to select background, dim back ground, swipe to close etc. Another handy feature is the ability to quit apps from within ProSwitcher. Just select the application that you want to quit with the customary finger slide, then hit quit.

been running this on my ipod with backgrounder and i have to say it makes it a killer. Contemplating dropping sprint for a couple iphones on a corporate att account.

iPhone just does too much and then more. Takes the best of every phone and incorporates it into one. (jailbroken of course)


anyways im loving sittin here watching live nba games on leaguepass and then using proswitcher to switch to facebook app and post about a play i just saw and then return uninterrupted right back to the game, all while receiving notifications on facebook replies too. no other phone can do that and they dont even offer the NBA Leaguepass for windows mobile..i really feel like Im on a dead platform

backgrounder is the mod that enables your programs to be able to be "backgrounded" so you HAVE to have backgrounder installed to use ProSwitcher, but what proswicther does is a Pre-like task manager because with backgrounder it is very hard to manage the apps once they have been backgrounded
