gah! i read the first post and seemed to miss that. Maybe if someone didnt make such a good rom i wouldnt be as distracted by my phone! :P

The pin lock is a long history...hahaha.. not a bug, just a "graphical glitch"... ill need time to fix that (new design for the buttons)... for now...after entering the pin press the little "open lock" at the left...should take you to the home screen:

Left: Home
Middle: Contacts

hahaha! No 1.8 for at least 15 days.... 1.6 had a glitch with epst/ota that was bugging me/everybody a lot... already fixed....thats why 1.7 came out so quickly... sorry....

Call me a noob but everytime i try to paste the new lockscreen img (yes its renamed and png) it says i dont have access. Do i have to delete the old lockscreen img first and then insert the new one? Or simultaneously replace them? Just wasnt sure if i should delete first and mess it up

Try to rename it first... although it should overwrite without problems...
let me make a cab to get rid of the fixed wallpaper....

Renamed the new one first and wen to drag it in, it starts to go in like normal then comes up with somethin that says.

Cannot copy lockscreen: Access is denied
Make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not set as read-only, and that you have permission to copy the file.

Ok i flashed the 1.6 this morning and have already manually reseted after the OTA programming. Imma wait for 1.8 before flashing again... maybe =)

Try the attached cab...since you tried to edit it... install it twice... the first time, it may not ask to reboot, the second it will for sure...
Please post back...
Btw, with this cab, the lockscreen will just show whatever wallpaper you have on your today screen...
