HTC Messaging still sucks. Locked up my phone and had to do a soft reset. Gonna remove it as soon as possible. I see absolutely no benefit to having a "pretty" program that simply doesn't work efficiently or fast.

Fast as usual. DarkNinja's Desire Custom Taskbar works just fine on this ROM, despite the warning about custom taskbars, so I was thoroughly pleased. Will report back about stability once I start using it.

Messaging is a deal breaker for me. I haven't followed EVERY single post here. Is there a single cab that removes the current messaging and installs I guess it's arcsoft?

I absolutely hate soft resets of the especially if I need to pull the battery, since I have a hard case.

I also noticed with the messaging if I misspell a word I cannot double-tap to highlight and delete or change it. It requires I hold down until the Select All prompt and that gets annoying.

This was in 1.2 and 1.3. Otherwise I really love these 3 and 5 builds and how fast the web browsing it.

Not a single cab. There some steps you have to do to get it working but they aren't too difficult.

Can someone who disables HTC Messaging verify this cab works. I cabbed up the stock arcsoft for imagio just need thumbs up it works as I'm at work and can't test.

If it works with 1.3, I can do it before flashing to 1.4 after work, but I bet somebody beats me to the punch :)

edit: It seems to work for SMS, but I was unable to get MMS to work. Probably just skipping a step or messing something up. Sorry, not that familiar with MMS on the original Arcsoft. I also had problems attaching an image, I would end up with "/C-C" as text the first time and then it would attach an image to the message the second time.

The error I was getting was regarding an unrecognized contact, and if I dismissed that it yelled at me that Pocket Outlook couldn't be used for this purpose. Perhaps it was just linked to the wrong account, my POP3 instead of the right one? No idea. lol. Flashing to 1.4 !!

I guess we still have to change that registry entry in order to get the City & State to show up on incoming calls?

Initial load of 1.4 seems OK here. Scared to try my djp952 taskbar, but I'll do some module comparisons and see how that will go. lol - can't go back to defaults, spent too much time making those icons! :mrgreen:

Is there any way to get press-and-hold of the "X" button on the bottom to close an application again, or was this a feature of Showcase? If so, do you foresee any issues with installing Showcase on top of 1.4?

edit: nvm on the "X" button question, I found the Showcase 6.5.x thread at XDA and it is a feature of that application. Problem = solved. I'll let you know if installing it causes any ill effects.
