WM6.1 released for HTC Libra (aka smt5800, s720)
Now that we have a base ROM and RUU for this device, custom ROMs should be possible, but we don't have an unlocker. What's the process that's usually used for obtaining an unlocker for a device? Can anyone point me to some documentation maybe about how to go about making one? I realize the phone doesn't have a large following, but it would still be pretty awesome to whip up a kitchen for this bad boy. I'm willing to pioneer this trail, but I'm having trouble coming up with a starting point.

Now why was this moved here? I would've gladly posted it in the Libra forum, but there isn't one. This phone is NOT the same as the Vox.

absolutely, I would help with this. I've had the libra for quite a while now and love its small size, etc. but 6.1 would sure help.

I have a SMT5800 from Verizon. I now use Metro PCS and want to switch the phone over to use with their service. Does anyone know how to unlock and flash this phone? Do you know if I can keep my number too? Metro is pretty retarded. ](*,)They indicate that I have to get a new phone number and want to charge me for this. I am in a stuck position because I have a great phone I can use, the 5800, but dont know how to get it to work. Any help appreciated.. :scratch: These smiles are horribly great |
