Alarms not working

I have tried using NSFANS and VINS roms and neither is letting the default alarms go off. It's wierd because when I set them to test for 2-3 minutes from now they work but my 6am and 6:40am and 9am weekend alarms just don't do anything.

I tried g-alarm 1.5.1 (the last free one) and it used to work back on NSFANS v16 but it fails to launch an alarm any longer. But if I reset the Vogue then the alram kicks off at boot.

I found this :

http://www.smartphonemag.com/cms/blo...ndows_mobile_2

and

http://khason.net/blog/my-windows-mo...want-to-alert/

But I just wanted to check here first see if Im not missing anything before I try to run that app.

Any suggestions on why my alarms are not working?

Bob

Sounds like it is just a bug with those roms. Have you checked in those threads where you got those roms to see if anyone else has reported this? You might pm Vin or Nfsfan and ask them if they have heard this. It may be due to a power saving feature or it may be caused by a bad or incomplete flash.

I use Pocket Mechanic once in a while to clean up the alarm queue.

So while i was watching Buckaneers win and Pats beat Miami I was thinking ... I never had done a "clear storage" because I just assume the ROM flash cleared everying.

But my question, does the ROM clear the previous crap on my phone or just overwrite it?

Maybe I should clear storage every now and again to get rid of any crap , like my alarms or queues that are on there.

Yeah, I use ClearTemp(freeware) to clear leftovers in storage. After you flash you are supposed to hard reset which will clear out all the old stuff. Did you do that?

I'm running one of Vin's latest roms and the alarms work just fine. Make sure you restore only your contacts and nothing else after you flash the rom. It could be one of the reasons you are having a problem.

I used the Clear Storage and Hard Reset the phone, alarms still didn't work.

I used Pocket Mechanic and it found 4 duplicate alarms. I fixed them and BAM alarms worked this morning. Thanks.

Good to know. I am using Vin's 6.5.1 v2 (23504.v2). Have not had any alarm issues to date.

I had an issue with VINs Rom doing this once(dont remember the version). I remember flashing it again with the same version and the issue went away.
