It prolly did, and it prolly is a SIM unlocked HTC Touch, AKA Elf.
And most apps will run fine on here, but some wont, Definatly not the ROMs, the Taskbars are different, the Dialers are different.
Just be careful what you do, and make very sure what you choose to do is compatible with CDMA and GSM.

So yeah I installed nueStorageManager but when it finished it said something like it may not work becauce it was not for the same version of the OS. I can see the program listed in the "Remove Programs" list but I can not see anyway to run it.

Is there any other program that will let me format SD cards? Or any prgram that will format it correctly on the PC? Its a drag having an 8 gb card I cant use in this phone...

Yearn is right.
I suggest that you go check out xda-developers because they are going to have a lot more info and roms on there for gsm touch/Elf. Pretty much everything on this site is CDMA. :)

I got my 1 GB SD card to work. So at least that is something. It would still be nice to get the 8GB to work... but at least I have a little room to play with now.

I searched a little for you over at XDA but came up empty, you might try starting a new thread in this section-->

No, PPCGeeks is primarily CDMA, while XDA is primarily GSM.
Im not trying to run off a new member but when it come to actual system upgrades (ROMs,Dialers,Taskbars,Radios) you will need to go over there.

But like I said earlier, most software (games, apps, utilities) from here will work just fine.
