Remap the power button?
 

So, I splashed water on my XV6900. Fortunately nothing appears to be working incorrectly except the power button. No matter how hard I push it, it just seems to not work at all. I have had to set the phone to not automatically power off after 1 min. Before I did this, every time it powered down I could not get it back on. This of course has a huge effect on my battery life, I think I am down to about 6 hours since the backlight can never fully turn off.

Is there any way to remap the power button to say, the center selector button? I never use that button and if I could do this it would make the phone fully functional to me again.

If you go from the start menu to settings/personal and select buttons I believe you can change the function of the camera button on the side of your Vogue to serve as the power button. You could set it so a quick press will turn screen on off and so a long press activates the camera. I am not positive but I think this can be done. Also there is an app on www.pocketpcfreeware.mobi called PowerBut(lol) that will change the function of the regular power button. I don't know if this app will help. I have never heard of anyone changing the function of the center button on the d-pad. Good Luck!
