Vogue GPS doesn't work!!

Ever since I flashed to my own cooked rom, I have had no luck with my GPS. I've tried everything I could find on this board, yet for some reason my GPS won't work. Google Maps cannot find any satellites, Bing can't either, and there seems to be nothing going on when I run any diagnostics on it, which indicates that it's not even active. I've done reg edits, QPST settings, everything I could find on this forum. Still no dice. I'm at my wits' end here. Help me?

I'm assuming you've already tried a hard reset. I suggest you flash back to stock then I recommend reading and then rereading codybear's faq over on xda about flashing the Vogue. You prolly just forgot something or missed one little step that is causing problems. You'll prolly find it when you read through it. May The Force Be With You...Always.:)

I've flashed this phone many times, so I've learned a lot about the little idiotic quirks it has. I had just finished flashing it again, this time with a Bell stock rom with 3.42.50 radio (I previously had 3.42.30), then flashing it to PDAJ's Clean WM6.5 rom for testing purposes, and got a lock onto 5-6 satellites indoors, which initially took about five minutes. Now I'm gonna try flashing my personal rom onto it and see if GPS is still working. Here's hoping.

You didn't happen to let customizations run with the stock rom, did you?

No, I soft-reset it before they started.

I reflashed to my rom, and GPS didn't work again. Strange... Something to do with the settings I cooked into it, maybe?

I would say you might have figured it out.

Yeah, I've double-checked everything. It works with other user roms, but not mine. Like Horndoctor said, it's probably something in my rom build. Any suggestions as to what I should change or add?

I wish I knew what to tell ya. I would say that would be a question for one of the chefs here. Maybe pm one. Hey, maybe ask Whosdaman. He would prolly know.

You might need the provisioning files for your carrier. Check over on XDA, NFSFan has a whole load of cabs for various carriers.

Not sure how those are any different than what's included with BuildOS? I've been using the Arcsoft MMS with WAP settings cab forever, and the other one I got from dcd, which really is only necessary when you use a generic rom. Neither seemed to fix the GPS.

If it work on another custom ROM but not on yours then I would say your ROM has a problem. What exactly the problem is I cannot say. All that I know is that with the stock VZW ROM & radio my GPS did work. However I would have to softreset everytime I wanted to use it. I wasn't until I started using NFSFAN's ROM that it worked perfectly.

Yeah, I've just been using PDAJ's rom for the time being since it works for me.
