Verizon - tethering. Am I busted?

I haven't tethered to my Vogue phone in a month or so and I was surprised this evening that I got the re-direct to the "Welcome to Verizon Mobile Broadband" page both with bluetooth and USB tethers.

I always kinda' doubted that I was really under the radar and only tethered occasionally but apparently nobody else is experiencing this?

Anyway, I'm paying the $15 per month now and I'm guilt free! ... until somebody figures out how to beat the system again.

log into my verizon, click data, in the middle left, then click view my usage, go to the bottom where it says:
Domestic
Mobile Broadband Connect
Data Used
if you have any kilobytes used, then they know you have tethered

It's been so long, I don't remember a registry hack. I've been tethering, via bluetooth and usb, for about a year. It just stopped working in the last month and since I'm leaving on a two week road trip tomorrow I really don't have time to sort out why it stopped working. But Verizon is giving me a free month of free tethering so I've got time to sort it out.

Although it's going to be kind of hard to test now that I'm legit. I'll have to shut off the VZW Mobile Broadband just to test.

Quick question.
Isn,t using something that streams like Pandora or Hulu, or internet radio
or similar, using the same data that tethering would use?
I'm confused.

Join the club! I think you have to work for Verizon marketing for it to make sense. Their unlimited data plan is also limited. I guess if they allowed tethering to phones, for no extra charge, they wouldn't sell many PC dongles with data plans.
