weird problem in 6900
 

hello...

I have an unlocked SPRINT 6900. i tried upgrading my ROM from 1.12 version to the newer one... and while doing so it went upto 10% and then failed...

after which my phone would just show the red/blue/green/white screen..

after which i got a lead from ppcgeeks to rename a file as vogui.nbh which was a 12 mb file.. i tried doing this from a formatted 512 mb card (fat 32).. and it worked.. my phone started...

but then many other problems also came up with that, follows as under

1. on start up ... it shows RADIO - 0, in device information it shows RADIO -0 , PRI/PRl/ESn is blank....
2. the phone if goes on standby mode or i press the power off button (just to switch off the scree) it gets hanged... then i have to soft reset it...
3. i re tried upgrading the ROM... while doing so... it shows current version 1.12, would u like to upgrade to version 3.27, once i click on yes... the upgrading starts... the tracker shows 0%... and then it comes congratulations u have successfully upgraded your ROm... but when i see device information... it still shows the OLD ROM... why is this so?
4. For internet i changed the setting to SIMPLE IP... delete IOTA... loaded the reliance 3 cab files... but still it doesnt work... what should i do now...

do ya have netframework istalled on the pc ya flashing from??????

id try hard reseting it, flashing a radio and updating the prl.... Maybe even try taking the battery out for like 20 min. also, thats a tough one..

what is net framework..

also i did hard reset and also updated PRL... but that doesnt work...

battery i can take it out for 20 mins...as of now i am not using this phone (using a standby)

not sure exactly what netframework is, but your phone and pc should have it....... Instructions say, make sure before you flash your pc should have netframework installed.... google netframework 3.5 and install it to pc......

try flashing stock????

flashing stock??? ... the thing is i am absolutely a newbie... to all this... ... can u pls explain in layman language....

someone just told me to reload my original SPRINT rom... how do get that and how do i put it up on my phone..

If your carrier is sprint, stock rom is available here.

Download it and start up the installation..it should do the rest.

The latest shipped ROM is what you want. Downgrading to an older non-GPS ROM will cause more issues. This is a thread on the dangers of downgrading.
