Total Commander action?

I installed TC and was viewing files when I noticed that the icon for my storage card was now colored black over the yellow.

What did I do, and what does it mean? It was always the normal yellow icon folder. Everything seems to be there and I can access the files, but don't know why the icon changed.

Uninstalled TC, but the icon rem

Hate new programs. ](*,)

Thats normal. It represents the storage card. And even though you uninstalled it, the Reg edit of the symbol stays, you have to hard reset for it to be normal again.

Ok. So TC only changed the icon? Sort of a customization. :)

As long as I didn't mess things up. I wish I knew how to use TC better. I'm always afraid of screwing up my phone.

Does TC have any kind of manual?

fine, to get used to tc, just play around with it, its pretty easy to figure out. to move more than one file at a time, hit the white box on the bottom. (ctrl)

Darren,
I would if I knew what the icons meant on the bottom. Still haven't found the registry editor in it.
Thanks.

Thanks.

I've used TC for a while now and never did see a registry editor.

I just ran it and I don't think any of the icons will harm your phone.

Just try each one and you will pretty much know what they do.

Darren,

Yes, I have PHM but read somewhere that TC had a registry editor. Maybe it is only the PC version.

I guess for now, the Hou Ming FE extension works ok, and a separate reg editor is the way to go.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Total Commander action?

jim,
The Registry Editor will be found under Plugins in the Root. It is built into the file system.
I found it a bit hard to use, so I have PHM installed.
If you hold your stylus on the icons, they will open, or a dialog box will pop up telling you what the function is. NOTE: Make sure you move the stylus OFF the icon before releasing pressure or you may activate the function. I tried it without a problem.

I don't see what's so hard to use about the TC registry edit part?
I personally like it better than phm.
It's faster,
and it's waaaaaay easier IMO.

I just wish I could skin TC, then I would be set.
