all three are good, it comes down to more of a personal preference really.

PIM! It even saves contact pictures! Well..it did when I had the mogul. Not sure if the others do though.

Don't mean to hijack but would like to add a question to this thread. Does spbbackup or spritebackup allow you to view the backups on notepad or something? PIM does, but its all scrambled.

They all have their fans - personally I have tried nearly all and own spb and Sprite. I think Sprite is the best ti has a browser that will allow you to view a backups contents and select one file to be restored. Ans you can back up to the PC as well as to the storage card. It is very powerful and flexible.

SPB is free to try, like 7 or 10 day preview period, full access, and it also backs up contact pics.

Pim works great.

I get occasional issues with SPB. Kinda sucks when go to restore and sometimes it won't restore completely.

I use to love Sprite on my 700wx. Seems to work ok on my touch.

If I install a BUNCH of programs and want to basically make an IMAGE of this thing, what Backup Util would suit my needs?

I would use sprite. Don't know if they have trial ware. I'm sure there are hacked versions about because some custom roms come with it.

Sprite Backup has saved my bacon numerous times.

Excellent support too, by the way.
