Yes but this talks about using the Telus PDE server instead of the VZW PDE server. Actually it looks like the VZW PDE is back up now. Not sure how long it will last though.

I dont think this addresses your issue with the PRI. The PRI you are running is the VZW locked down PRI. Only VZ Navigator will run natively with this PRI. The Valhalla cab over at XDA by Skywing fixes this issue, but only allows apps that do not use the COM port directly, like Google Maps, to operate.

If you want to get back to basics and use the GPS without being restricted by VZW then you need to jump through a few hoops, of which I can you with that.

Steve

I am mobile right now so this will be brief. Last night i found a thread on xda that walked through a couple unlocks and flashes. Now my Pri is 1.37.002 and i still cannot get any gps data. My radio is 3.37.77. Where do we go from here?

Ok now you need to go over to XDA and follow the instructions for the VZW aGPS fix. I have included the link to this thread. Follow the bouncing ball and you should be good to go. You have gotten past the hard part and that was re-flashing to get the 1.37 PRI.

Any other questions or issues give me a yell. If you get a chance could you send me a link to the thread over on XDA. I would like to compare notes.

I'm not sure whether to laught or cry. First of all, the thread which guided me through to a proper PRI is the one mentioned a few posts up ( http://wiki.ppchaven.com/index.php?t...IX_VERIZON_GPS ).

Second, go look at the revision history for the wiki you just link me to and compare the date/time of the latest revision with the posts on this thread. Then notice who made that edit :(

When I get home I will definately go through the process again because now I'm thinking that I did it before flashing back to this PRI and that's why I don't have GPS yet.

Thank you for your help and your approach.

Try this thread but it will void your warranty if aplicable.

You can probably skip the last step in the process. Since you probably let the customizations run you'll have to go back to a pre-GPS radio to get the GPS working.

Thank you. That wiki was a major help in getting my phone back where it should be.

I am on 2.03 as well. I tried to the .41 unlock at it failed. I am on 6.5 with 3.47.30 radio. Does that matter?

It depends...do you want GPS? If so then you need to back down your PRI to 1.37.

The .41 unlocker didn't work on 6.5 rom. Downgraded to 6.1 vzw without cusotmizations. Found the .40 unlocker. it worked.

Now, I can't install the SPRINT rom one from step2. Says "Error 328: INvalid command. Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA phone." I installed the .40 unlocker without problem but when the sprint rom is attempting it fails at 1%. I still see SPL 2.31coke listed with the rainbow screen. is that the problem?

I HAVE GPS!!

If you haven't already, go read post one to see the conclusion of this thread, the steps for resolution, and my notes.

Mods, how bout a sticky on this? I've seen too many disseperate threads dealing with this issue and I've done my best to bring all the relevant bits together here (in conjunction with the links I've provided).

rainabba,

with step one, did the .40 unlocker say finished but hang at the bootloader screen? I read in another thread this is okay as it will apply anyhow true?

any problems with step two with the Sprint ROM failing? maybe because of the hang in step one?

So you installed the unlocker and when it rebooted it just hung? Once the install is done it should reboot the device.
