Can I get rid of the taskbar popup?
 

I just updated my Verizon touch to the newer official ROM, and I really don't like the behavior of the taskbar. When I click the phone signal icon, or the data icon, I want those to popup instead of the little grey box that makes me pick the phone or data thing again.

Anyone know how to change this? I tried a search, but I dunno what that thing is called so I got nothing...

Look in SETTINGS>TODAY
I believe it's the third tab in there. My Touch was stolen last night so I can't look to make sure, but I believe the setting you're looking for is in there. My replacement will be here tomorrow.

Is there a touch flo option in the settings>system tab? Been awhile since i've seen that phone in action

Yeah, there is, however the only option there is about enabling sounds.

Well i do know there's a show system status screen somewhere in there, maybe not in touchflo but i'm in the pretty firm belief that that's the option you're looking for cause that's what it is in the diamond, just check every system setting for that and you should find it, hopefully

Still didn't find it? Damn I'm missing my phone right now @$$urion is supposed to be delivering my new one today.
Anyway... are you running a custom ROM, and if so which one?
I remember being able to do this... now that I read it I'm pretty sure it was under SETTINGS>SYSTEM>TOUCHFLO> then second tab on the bottom and the check box says "Show System Status screen when status icons are tapped" but that was on NFSFAN ROM with M2D installed.

If you don't have the option to turn off System Status in the TouchFlo control panel, the only thing you can do is go into \Windows and remove the LargeTitleBar.dll

Not a custom ROM, just the updated Verizon ROM.

Will removing that DLL screw up other stuff (e.g. large start menu)?

Err, that DLL is in ROM, so I can't delete it without going the whole custom ROM route. Disabling the large start menu gets rid of it, but them my start menu goes back to gthe ugly windows green, and I actually like the large start menu. There are some reg keys pertaining to the large start mentu, so does anyone know if there's a way to hack it there?

Fixed it!

Had to delete HKLM\Services\LargeTitleBar

Just settingenabled to 0 didn't do the trick...

Now if I could just fix my other pet peeves with this rom...

I don't like the spalsh screen when I unlock it, it's really slow, even after the usual speed hacks. Oh, and it keeps giving me PPP errors! Realy annoying!
