verizon vogue 6900 help with GPS PLEASE
 

ok new to this and you guys will have the simple answer im sure please help?
so far:
ROM version : 3.09.66.1 OMJ.3.09.Manilla.clean
ROM date :8/04/08
Radio version : 3.42.50
Protocol version : DCAAXOM-4350H
Hardware : 0001
PRL version : 51248
PRI verison : 2.03_002
Browser Version : MSIE 6.0
ERI version : 4
running a custom rom and i love it i just want My GPS to work with google maps please lead me in the correct direction. also i have done the QPST configuration correctly i think. the setting that i have in there are as follows :
PDE IP Address: 66.174.95.132
PDE Port Number: 8888
PDE Transport: IP
Position Calculation: PDE (maybe MOBILE now)
also i am running coke version 2.31
and have run Registry Key name
value
EnableAGPS
1
EnableGPSSmartMode
1
GPSMode
4
ServerIP
66.174.95.132
ServerPort
8888
So what is wrong and what can i do i am willing to use any good rom even verizons newest oem rom 3.14
P.S. oh yes when i go to google maps it initializes the GPS right away but cant lock on to any satellites

Not sure exactly what the problem is...but here's how I fixed my GPS to work with a custom ROM.

If you have ever installed the Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade from Verizon and let customizations run you basically have disabled the GPS. Following these steps will allow it to work again. These instructions are what I figured out to fix it, and are based on using this ROM. It may be a little different if you're using a different ROM.

I ran this 6.1 update and the gps software listed here

And mine works great on Google and Windows live-
It will not work for my Co Piolit Live though-
It gets a 3D lock but it still does not work-

Afterwards just as a simple note make sure you are set to Com4 and location is on...

Yes I just wanted to say thanks so very much. RZAWORA Was right his method is perfect if you follow it to the T. I thank all who indirectly helped me and RZAWORA to create the knowledge base to fix these problem. Special thanks to NRSFAN for the wonderful ROM and thanks again to RZAWORA for suggesting it. It's the bomb! NFSFAN if you see this thread please let me know if and when you put out the next edition. Can't Wait! Thanks again to PPCGEEKS.COM and XDA.COM for exitsting period for all of use to use and learn.

P.S. the fix that worked for me was the one that RZAWORA gave me. This was the perfect fix here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1194 this link does work because im stupid however it is the same link that RZAWORA has in his reply to me (pikewhite). Thanks.
