ok, I love the NFSfANS ROM, it just doesnt have flash capability through opera the way that conflippers does, I also like conflippers vogue rom but for some reason I absolutely cannot get the GPS to pick up satelites. I do a fresh install, then try the gps viewer and nothing, it never picks up. So basically im looking for 2 things.

A fix to implement flash into the NFSFAN rom (i have already tried installing the exact build of opera that conflippers uses and flash 3.1, still no luck in getting it to work. I was told that it may be because NFSfan baked flash into his already, but regardless, i cant get it to work and cant find where it says if it comes with flash already or not in his rom specs...)

b. A fix for conflippers GPS to make it pick up satelites.

I like both roms, but both are missing functionality out of the box. Can someone please help?

As I am 100% NFSFAN I will say I also had this issue with flash, being that I test everyones ROM no matter who they are... Check out this GPS fix from Shadow Tech its completely safe for your device and is carrier friendly http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ht=Shadow+tech

The only option I can offer as far as the Flash Player isto install NFSFAN's clean ROM and add Opera yourself as well as Flash lite 3.1...Hope I helped...


You have 2 great ROM builders to choose from so maybe if you PM them with question the you need answered then I know for sure they will get back to you, from experience these two are very helpful ROM's!!!LOL!!!

If you want full flash on NFSFAN, just use Skyfire as your browser. It's fantastic. www.skyfire.com

ok, i try to load QPST but im getting vogue diagnostics, using the NFSFAN ROM. yet my xp cant seem to install the driver, could someone please give me the work around?

I think you can instal a flash enabled version of Opera on a NFSFAN rom :-)

I am having the same problem... ##3424# brings up vogue diagnostics. i tried the driver posted here but it doesnt help. it shows as correctly installed modem, but doesnt list a comport like it used to.

After reflection I felt I was hasty on accusing you of ..., my apologies.
In everyone's path to knowledge, their comes a time when you stop thinking as a user, suddenly see a program for the intricate beauty and labor which must have been accomplished in a program.
Thats when you start thinking as a developer, on ways how you can make or add to a creation to benefit others, as giving back to the knowledge that you have attained.
Then you will more see why this issue is a passionate one. So you see why I ranted, and again my apologies.

I was actually here when this took place and involved. At the time certain people wanted NFS banned. Many unfair attacks happened. Hacking of his FTP, Trolling spam posts to start flames in his thread to try and get it pulled.

Hell defending NFSFAN I got a ban also along with dharv and anyone else who dared to be fair when it came to NFS.

Jugs would tell me it is NFSFAN's job to control his thread when he had no moderator powers. Think about it, someone starts saying stupid things you try to explain back to a troll and boom the specialed admins here delete a thread with 150k views?
Instead of deleting the posters post and warning the problem starter they took it out on NFSFAN. Are you starting to get the sort of situation that existed here?

They had it in for NFSFAN and they where determined to get him more or less.

Anyhow, for the record.

1.NFSFAN did not steal. There was no license agreement in the zip from the application he downloaded off nochems site.

2.They wanted him banned. They wanted a reason and got one. Any normal site would have never allowed this. They had it in for him.

3.All NFSFAN did was rename it to USB2PC on the top header text for the popup that initially came up. The change made it look more official. He did not claim he coded it or anything like that.

What is funny is the same idiots tried to do the same flame spam posts at XDA but too bad we have alot more friends at XDA. They got bans. The administration of XDA is not unfair and retarded. Unlike certain administrators...

At the end of the day NFSFAN has been the most consistent and producing the highest quality ROM's for the Vogue.


All ROM chiefs are stealing by the definition that PPCG admin used here on this so called NFSFAN stealing situation. This whole attack on NFSFAN was and still is a joke. Do we write to HTC and Microsoft and so on, NO? Did NFSFAN charge for his ROM’s ,NO? Was NFSFAN given a chance to remove the application? NO?

They just wanted to be unfair and smear and ban him.

I felt I should say this and set the record straight. I bet this will be deleted and or trolls will be here. O well.

Actually I was here as well and my post was part of the deleted items when I stated the same thing - Microsoft nor HTC grants any allowable permisions to change, alter or modify anything within the phones

it was deleted as well LOL

back to the original post/question though - time will tell as this pre-release software still has a looooong way to go and new versions and variations are constantly being made, patience grasshoppa and it will come to be LOL

This reason is news to me.
Too bad he didn't acknoledge developer in changelog, if he had one, since he renamed it.
So there is always to sides to every argument.
I now remain neutral.
I am going back to the touchpro threads where I should have stayed.

NFSFAN has some of the best rom's I've tested, I'm an avid viewer of his xda-devs threads, and he's always there helping out whoever asks for it. You can trash the guy all you want over here. I agree that the moderators here are biased at times, and definitely had it in for him. He's a stand up guy - with alot of character. If you're going to flame me (and some of you probably have been waiting for the chance... yes i am looking at you...) do it over PM, don't hijack the OP's thread for reasons of misconduct. Not like you'd get banned for it though, I probably would. hahaha

Just stating my piece for a valued contributor.

I am glad to see that some of you have changed your posts for the better. We could just do the mature thing and drop it and get back on subject. Anyways I heard about this valhalla app or something I think it helps GPS or enables it idk. Probably way wrong lol but might wanna check that out.
