EVDO on Cricket Vogue
 

Hey everyone. Can someone tell me how to use crickets high speed internet on my vogue? Is this called EVDO? I have the newest radio, 3.42.50, i just don't know how to set up the internet for this or what to do? Do i have to update the prl also? could someone please answer these questions for me, or give me their insight, not just read it and go on lol.. thanks

Always good to see a fellow Cricketeer. For the most part a lot of folks here are not going to be very CRKT friendly so I'll help if I can. The prl is important and 1007 is the latest EVDO I believe. Extract this zip. file and load it up.

or you can also google on you area maybe cricket dont support it...
and if it does just simply dial *22804 and it will download the latest prl for you

Thanks, this helped me get EVDO in my area on my HTC 6800. I tried the 1050 custom PRL and the supposedly latest standard nationwide EVDO PRL 1013.

For me to get the evdo I had to load prl 1040 and then OTAP ( *228 ) Once I did that, my phone reset and I had the latest prl and evdo.

I have downloaded a couple of EVDO.prl files, but I cannot get Windows to recognize or open a .prl. Anyone have any remedies for that?

To upgrade your PRL manually on a Vogue: Transfer the PRL files from your computer to your phones my documents folder via active sync. On your phone enter PST by dialing ##778# or ##778send. Then click edit, PRL, update PRL file, menu, edit, browse, choose the PRL, ok, menu, ok, update items, reset phone.

I am actually trying to flash a Blackberry to Cricket. I have the program, but when I try to open the .prl file on my computer to use it in the program, Windows will not recognize the file.

What pst program are you using. QPST, CDMA WS?
anyway you don't need to open any files on the PC, the pst program should have somewhere you can load that PRL file, like in QPST it's in the roam tab, in CDMA WS it's in the other tab.

On a side note you are posting this in a Vogue sub-forum. So natural people will assume you are talking about an HTC Vogue.
