Before I upgrade my ROM what settings do I need to write down?
 

I am on Sprint and was going to upgrade my to NSFANs ROM. What settings do I need to write down. I know when I first got my phone and had problems the service reps told me to press a sequence of keys to get to a menu to show the MSD values(I think thats what its called) Could someone tell me what the key sequence is and if those values get overwritten when I put in a new ROM.

You don't need to write anything down... Once you've flashed the rom, you'll probably need to:

go to START> settings > phone > services> internet > Click "Get Settings"

This will get your internet back up and running. The rest is automatic.

Also, I had problems unlocking my boyfriend's Touch with (ImCokeMan's 2.31 Unlocker)last week while using my windows XP laptop & ActiveSync. But once I tried it on my desktop which is running the Windows Vista OS & Windows Mobile Device Center, it worked fine. Now my boyfriend's Touch is loaded with NSFAN's rom and it's just as cool if not cooler than my Touch Diamond.

Before you flash anything you should install a back up program such as PIM backup, then back up all important info to storage card...Go ahead and flash...Before hand maybe read this :http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17473
