HTC Sprint Touch switch to Cricket

Hello All, I would greatly appreciate some assistance in getting my phone working as well as possible on the cricket market. I've spent so many hours reading downloading on internet restarting and tweaking my phone and its almost complete. I have a touch 6700 Sprint phone which has been flashed to Cricket. My calls are coming going just fine. SMS text coming and going just fine. I can connect to internet and I have cricket wap settings saved OK without any sprint listed nonsense, though with a soft reset or something or editing major settings and restarting sometimes sprint will be listed again. I dont think so when I just turn off phone and back on. I can live with that I suppose. I dont use IE Explorer which i heard has mind of its own rewriting registry values or something. Cant be on a phone call and use internet....I may have read something on a fix for that (a bypass) but i cant find the site again....that isnt too important but if someone has the answer I'll take it. I have arcsoft 5.x and arcsoft 3.x composer and I even downloaded and installed 2 others I have 2 mms folders in my mail which i can live with at moment. I can send MMS great. THESE ARE MY PROBLEMS = Receiving MMS . I've made all changes I could find in various forums to registry and arcosft settings. I've read up on arcsoft settings and 1 states to add some sites as exceptions in URL settings advanced network settings menus. the cricket websites mms sites to be exact. I tried that. I ended up getting a message in my mms folder with info on message but pic was not showing up. I also received a sms text from cricket saying I have a pic message and to go to website but after following link would get error message that site is down or overloaded. Hopefully someone else experiencing same problem and has a solution . PROBLEM 2 is EMAIL. I cannot download my gmail , hotmail, or yahoo mail as I previously could on sprint. All acct settings for each email look fine. They connect to cricket _wap as they should be . Do these outgoing , incoming sites need to be added to exceptions listing in URL. ? Is there some sort of problem cause the programs were built for sprint htc? Im not sure if I understand reason for exceptions on uRL advanced settings or how that works. In my proxy settings i only have text values in HTTP. which of course has cricket data and port 8080. other 3 ( wap, secure wap, and socks are blank) Also I cannot use Instant messaging either. yahoo instant messanger. Would get login error. Username /password of course correct. Any ideas suggestions solutions are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. I have not done a custom or cooked ROM . Im quite sure store did Simple flash. Than did over the air nonsense. Editing than done with the ##778# ## data# registry and wap etc... I have wM 6.1 a couple of theme programs mods spb programs. One last inquiry is any other great 3rd party apps to add to HTC that would be compatible with cricket. Eg. a GPS program. Or any other 3rd party email/messaging that you guys recommend. Hopefully Ive included enough back ground info on what I have and my current settings and was concise enough in explaining my phone issues. Thanks again hope everyone having a great start to 2009.

Just found a forum message stating that email and instant messaging not possible on cricket due to cricket limiting portal use to 80 or 8080 . Can anyone confirm this as a fact or is their a solution involved other than having to go to website using opera browser to download email? Message also states that AIM should work. Text based......software. Can someone confirm or provide alternate solution. THANKS!

1: URL exceptions are very important. Without that MMS will not work.
2: E-mail = Funambol. You can also have Gmail and Yahoo fowarded to you in the form of text messages.
3: Instant messenger = Palringo. Nuff said.
4:GPS = a lil registry tweaking. I get locks now IMMEDIATELY with NO priming with some 3rd party tool. The newest GoogleMaps finds 3-5 satellites in 2 to 4 seconds of opening the app. There was a whole thread on gps registry tweaks for every freakin' carrier except Cricket. I think someone did ask about it and was dismissed. I took the info provided and made a tweak of my own. I would now put my sat lock times up against anyones. Go Cricket!
5:You will find later that a full unlock is beneficial for many reasons. Get your spc code and make it all zeroes. If you want to use your stock rom (or even if you want to use a custom Sprint or Alltell rom for example) learn how to disable HTC Guardian or the default carrier settings will always continue to periodically overwrite yours.
6:Hate to see another Cricket guy struggling. I see no one has responded to these questions and frankly it's because they've all been answered several times over in many cases. You're actually closer than you think. Keep reading and good luck!

1 Attachment(s)
move this file onto your storage card and extract it to the windows folder..it will ask if you want to overwrite the existing just click yes to all

this will stop it from resetting your web settings

Would you please share what you did to get GPS working? I've been reading around for last few days and can't find any settings specific to Cricket.
