I did a hard reset, had it all working, then I installed opera on my phone and the internet isn't working.

Ok, so I used dcd_Cricket_Carrier_20080801.cab it fixed my connections

I put a a irc program on, and 5 mins later just as it did before when I installed Opera everything stopped working.

I can't install dcd Cricket Carrier.cab a 2nd time as WM6 asks me to uninstall first, but its not in my programs list.

Nice to see a fellow Cricket Louisvillian on here. :)

I would check your hdr settings and make sure your proxy username and pass are right in your connection settings. A couple times my EVDO hdr settings would go back to sprints on a reset. If you can't get it working and you are on the east end I'll take a look at it for ya if you want.

It seems every time I install any program my proxy server setting change.

You probably are running a rom that has HTC guardian in it. What you need is a non carrier specific ROM. What ROM are you running? A stock sprint one?
