Radio update?
 

hey all, iv got an alltel vogue running conflippers rom. my radio version is 3.42.30 iv seen where a new radio is out from bell 3.42.50 I was wondering if some people who have updated could tell me any benifits or problems they are havin.
im not having any trouble with mine other than the reception has always left a little te be desired.

I am running OMJ's ROM after running WDM for well over 3 months and updated to the new Bell Radio the other day. No issues to report other than cant seem to get rid of my startup splash screen anymore. Other than that good stuff.

Can you please tell me how to flash the Vogue Radio ROM 3.42.50? Do I have to use an unlocker first?

I've been debating on trying out the 3.42.50 as well... I'm interested to hear about any kinds of differences in it...

yes, you first need to unlock your phone with imcokemans unlocker. then flash the newest official bell rom. DO NOT LET CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN! when the little box pops up and say you have 3 seconds push the restart button on your phone. then flash to the custom rom of your choice.

But If after the soft reset I flash another custom rom it will erase the bell rom. Am I missing something?

No you won't over write the new radio. The Bell Flash has two parts to it. The Rom part and the Radio part. Once done, when you go to install the custom Rom of your choice, it only writes to the Rom portion, not the radio portion. It will leave the updated radio untouched.
