Anyone else get a Touch from Asurion recently?
I received one and having problems with it....anyone else?

Yes, after I cracked the screen on my original touch, I've went through 3 additional, just to end up with one that doesn't have the "black blotch on the screen" syndrome, or the charging port detaching from the board. The people at the store were pretty cool, I ended up getting a brand new Touch this last time, and ironically, my friggin' power button broke, told 'em I was keeping this one, god knows what would be wrong with the next one if i sent this one back. What's your symptoms?

Mainly the overheating and sometimes the touch screen not being responsive

I have received one, custom rommed it and haven't had an issue yet. I flash & reflash when the wind blows too. What kind of problems are you having? Chances are there isn't a problem out there that someone on this site can't figure out or have already experienced.

I just got one today as a matter of fact. Seems slow and unresponsive but Im used to faster roms. Ill see what happens after I flash it.

OK flashing is done and the phone seems to be fine. The screen needs more pressure but I figure that to be because it's new and I gotta break it in.

I got a new one like a week ago. It sucks plain and simple. My original touch was so much better this thing is slower, super unresponsive and I feel like I am gonna break the screen to just try to get the thing to respond. I barely had to touch my original one to get it to work. I flashed it a few days ago and it still blows.

I got one this week and it has worked fine. I broke the power button on my old one and I think the screen was bad on my old one also. The screen on the new one looks much better

they actually offered it to me, I didn't have to ask for it or anything. The people that I was talking to sounded like they just drank 5 or 6 red bulls lol

Those of you having touch screen response problems, have you tried re-calibrating the touch screen with very light presses of the stylus? Not only does the calibration utility align the screen, but it also tells Windows Mobile how hard a tap it should recognize.

i got a replacement about two months ago, and everything's fine with mine. i thought they were very helpful too. the only thing that I didn't get that i thought they would've sent with the replacement was a new screen protector, but fortunately the original was still sticky :)

Just got one a couple of days ago. Lost my original one that worked perfect. This one has the blotch, is not responsive (almost impossible to use the scroll bars) and to top it off sometimes when I input data it will close the app I'm in and then jump to a random app. Today I was putting in calendar data and the phone closed the program, opened and then minimized dashwire for me, then it went back to the today screen as if everything was ok.
What's the best thing to do, hit the store or call ASSurion? |

Im alittle jealous of this... im not going to lie, I just got a refubished touch in, and i tell you, it is the slowest thing on the face of the earth. and its more beat up than the one i have owned for about a year.... How long do I have to call assurion and get a replacement for this POS?

do you have to pay the $50 deductible every time you send this in? My touch has developed the dark blotch and unresponsive screen. Is it better to send it in to Asurion or try and get sprint to replace it? I don't want to get a crappy refurb and have to send that back if its going to cost me $50 each time.

from my experience it's cheaper to have a sprint store order the phone, I still believe it uses assurion but i have yet to pay the 50 deductible in store

I went through 4 Touch Phones before I just gave up with Asurion. I have the BLACK BLOB on screen issue and I just have given up at this point. I don't think Ill ever get a good one.
