Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
Why does the bell mobility version of the HTC touch not have MMS capabilites?
If there a fix for this? How can a person with a regular cel phone send MMS msg's to my phone with out using email? How can I send an MMS msg to a regular cel phone? |

Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
Just look for Arcsoft MMS, it's a program that lets you do it.

Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs

Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
ok so I've downloaded and installed the program
I'm stuck with the Sprint Sever, I can't delete it and I can't create a new one. Anyone EVER get this program running for Bell Mobility? |
Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
its impossible so far.
|
Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
Why is it so difficult for us Bell users? Someone has a Bell phone with the Gateway, server name, server address, and port....
|
Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
The Bell website claims the Omina does picture messaging. Its running winmo 6.1, maybe possible to adapt how it works on it to the Vogue... Anyone out there have one to verify this?
|
Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
to all those lookin for mms with bell, i have been searching far and wide for 3 yrs (since the vogue was released) and have not been able to get mms working...
its always a dead end |
Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
Okay, I have a friend at the bell store and he let me play with the Omina and here's what I got. The Omina uses and app called Samsung MMS for picture messaging, haven't searched it yet to see if there is a port for the touch available. Anyways, here are the server settings I was able to pull off of it:
MMS Profile: MMS MMSC: http://BellMMSC.bell.ca Connection: Data Gateway: WAP 2.0 IP Address: 206.47.78.149 Port: 80 That's it! haven't had a chance to try it with arcsoft or anything yet let yeah know when I do. And Mixxy, just be cause something hasn't been available for 3 years doesn't mean its impossible. The significant part here is that these settings were pulled from a phone that does support MMS on the bell mobility network, using the same platform as the touch. Cat's outta the bag now as far as I'm concerend. |

appreciate the help. Ive tried the settings from the Omnia already in Acrsoft, they do not work. And i completely agree with u that just because its not been working for 3 yrs, its not impossible, i was just simply stating, that after three YEARS of constant bickering and everything, still nothing ... i have unlimited messaging on my phone so i would LOVE mms =p especially when the girls try to send some pics thru |
Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
i spoke with a friend who works at technical solutions (tech support) at bell and he basically said 2 things, one that the HTC Omnia is allowed to access bell's servers, while they have completely disallowed any data in/out by the touch... and two, he said that due to the new changes to bell's system, any htc devices wont even have access to the online server through the website anymore

Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
Even if we could get MMS capabilities would we need some sort of MMS plan?
|

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...light=bell+mms Maybe use the settings in post 11 with that mms cab. :dontknow: |
Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
I was trying this just before I switch to an omnia 2 and it still didn't go. Looks like it's a lost cause, and probably just as mixxy said, and bell has it filtered on their end to block mms traffic from Touch ESN's.

Re: Bell- Sending and recieving MMS msgs
this is what i did for tilt 2. if the touch pro 2 dont have arcsoft mms then download it and use settings from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=720151
