Skype Beta 2.5 works on Vogue
Finally after all this time we can make skype calls with the Vogue. I just got done calling the Test Service and could hear myself through the built in microphone.

Great! Great! Great!
Thanks for this post! I have been waiting for 5 months for Skype to work on the HTC Touch. Would be perfect if sound came through the phone ear piece (can't complain for a free application) but works great with a bluetooth headset. Cheers! =D> btw I installed the Pocket PC version not the Smart Phone version. |

I was just about to start a thread on this.
With a headset it works really well :) |
Re: Skype Beta 2.5 works on Vogue
Not for me. Using my jawbone 2 bluetooth headset, I sound like a chipmunk on the test service. If I just use the speaker on the phone and use it like a speaker phone, the test service works perfectly, but when I make a real call, they get a ton of feedback on the other end. I can hear them fine, but they constant complain....not usable at all.

Does this cost money?

Re: Skype Beta 2.5 works on Vogue
Do you have the CAB still, it seems they have reverted back to 2.2 and I was really hoping to try this out *I will keep searching too*
Found it > http://skype-for-pocket-pc.en.softon...ketpc/download For those who are interested. Also, zeke, it doesn't cost money if you are using it to call another skype user but to call mobile phones and land lines it costs a very modest amount. I use it instead of buying calling cards and I pay 3 dollars a month for unlimited in north america (also doesn't use your minutes because it uses data!) |
Re: Skype Beta 2.5 works on Vogue
The current version available on the web site is 2.5 beta. It runs, unlike other versions, but the quality isn't up to par.

Can Sprint charge you extra for using excesive data? I've heard that if you tether they can bill you if you go over a certain amount of data. I just wanted to know if they can do the same if you use Skype on your phone.
