how to get a diamond?
 

I'm with Alltel strapped into the middle of a two-year contract with a Touch. I'd like to get the Diamond or the Pro but the customer service people are giving me the run-around with the contract. Anyone know how I can get an upgrade without paying $600?

Wait the rest of your contract by then a better phone may be out if you have the Vogue you have a strong device, I would just wait it out.

I like it and the thought of waiting another 10 months isn't horrid i guess but I'm tempted by the VGS screen, accelerometer and other toys. It sounds like it's so much better. I know I should probably read more reviews but from what i've heard, it's lightyears ahead of the vogue.

Yeah I thought so too, jumped to the Pro and absolutely hated it. Not totally its just that the Pro is so buggy there are such pols as this :http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=45140

Don't get me wrong I was blown away by some of the phones features as well as the screen but the con's out weighed the pro's for me...

Maybe I'll try the Diamond next...Or just as I said wait for a heavy weight device to come knock em' all out!!

My Pro is going back tonight and I'm going to try the Diamond.

The Pro just wasn't my cup of tea, but I already miss the VGA screen.

Only downside of the Diamond is the lack of memory card slot. You get 4 GB built in and that's it. I can manage with that one.

PS - Man up and buy one or wait your time, nobody likes a thief/liar/lepper.

I just ordered a refurb'd Diamond off of ebay for $199 shipped. Figure I can sell the touch for 50-100 without a problem ... so only around $100 to upgrade. Just watch ebay.... find a refurb(normally still under warranty and no ESN issues).

WTF are you talking about here? There are legit ways to get out of contracts and I resent your statement. Man up yourself and try treating people with respect before assuming the worst in people
