Random Text messages

O.k, I've went through about 3 different Elf's in as many months, and I use PIM backup for restoration purposes. Well, apparently, after restoring ANYTHING on my phone, it's sending slightly random text messages on it's own. Same message, same two people. To one it sends the word 'touch', to the other it sends the word 'monday'. I searched google, and couldn't find anything about the topic, although I'm not sure how I'd word it. ](*,)

I have a Sprint HTC Touch running windows mobile 6.1 with the new radio.Programs are: File explorer extension, sMMS, cleartemp, Android for Vogue, Repeatr, Spoonalarm, PIMP backup. And I don't have any reg edits. If someone could help me find a way around this it would be awesome, while it is slightly hillarious, it's also slightly annoying.

I had this also, I found that the reason it does this is because in your messages under drafts where things are saved to be sent later after every soft reset or even restoration it tends to retry sending these messages most of the time with success... So erase those and then back up and they shouldn't be sent anymore...

Looked in my drafts folder, I currently don't have any messages saved in that folder, and we looked through my roommates phone (thats the one that is receiving 'touch') and we can't find any message in the past that I have sent that word (dating back 4 months). Got any other ideas?

i think what he's trying to say is that every time you do a restore, it puts those into the outbox or drafts folder. that's why it sends those texts every time you restore--when you restore, it puts them in there and as soon as they're sent, they get deleted.
try to do a backup right now (now that they've already sent) and then restore from that from now on.
btw, you don't actually have to send a text message for it to be saved in the drafts folder. if you start a text and don't send it, it will ask if you want to save it in the drafts folder...

Another option, if you are restoring from PIM backup, you can select the folders you want to restore. I never check the drafts or outbox - even if they show empty. I had that happen to me too...
