one question, one concern

Ok so I have a couple things to talk about. I am with Sprint with the 6.1 update.

1. Whether I have the roaming cab file or do it through the reg edit, when my phone is in roaming, it seems to freeze randomly and many times I have to do a soft reset to get it working again properly. I think even if I haven't added a roaming edit, just when its in roaming. Anybody else had this problem of random freezing/stalling/slowness? Does anyone know if its related to roaming reasons?

2. When you do a hard reset and HTC runs its customization mode, I've heard of people resetting it before it does that to not install it. Whats the difference between having it run its customization process or resetting it before it runs?

Dont know about #1.

#2 - Resetting before customizations will give you a bare ROM. No Sprint stuff at all. No Sprint TV, Nav, Data, etc... Only stop it if you are flashing a Sprint ROM on a device for another carrier.

thank you, so there is no need to reset it before the customization process if your staying with sprint?

No - not unless you dont want the sprint stuff. It will make you phone a little lighter, but you will have to install one of dcd's carrier cabs to get data.

I stopped customizations, don't need or want any of the Sprint stuff, and appreciate the extra 4 to 6 MB of RAM being available on my Touch. Everything I do need works fine, including Opera and Iris browsers.
