Sounds & Notifications! (XV6900)
 

I can't get my custom notifications VOICE or RING .wav sound for text messages to work. I put the .wav file in every folder that had to do with sounds & notifications including the Windows system folder. Every time I get a text message I get the Default Windows "dink sound". I tried to delete that sound but I can't because it's a system file. (HTC Touch Vogue XV6900). CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS? ](*,)

You have to put it in the windows folder and then switch the sound in the sounds/notifications setting and it should be in the txt msg sounds list

Done that; it's in the the txt msg sounds list and it's selected. It will play when I verify it in the settings section, as will all the other .wav files that I have added. All the other sounds & notification files that I've added work perfectly when I get an alert!, but when I get a text message only the default "dink" sound plays! Does anyone Know how to delete the default system "dink" sound from the windows folder?. I've tried but I can't select/hi-lite DELETE OR CUT in the drop down menu list because it's a system .wav file.](*,) Any other suggestions or fixes?

If you want to delete the dink sound then just Use resco File Explorer... however i cant guarantee that it will work... u might just end up with an error everytime u get a msg or no sound at all

Best thing i can suggest to u is flash a new rom, as the current one u have now seems to be having issues
