I need help reflashing!
 

I have a sprint vogue which im trying to convert to verizon. I did the QPST thing and changed to service code to all 0's and loaded 0.41 unlocker on it. Whenever I try to flash the dumped verizon rom onto it. it loads but when i turn the phone on it just sits at the verizon screen. I tried to flash with a custom rom that i made but that didnt work, when it loads up it still says sprint even though i picked verizon from the carrier list.. I have no idea why its not working.

It will still say Sprint even when you are on Verizon. This info will not change until you can change the ERI information (I have not been able to get ERI to load on mine so I changed the display tab to say Verizon with QPST). I have a Verizon 6700 so I'm going to try and pull info from it to put on my Touch (hopefully).

Dial *611 and see if it connects to Verizon. If it does then you are golden, if not then something has not been done right. Try flashing again with the Verizon ROM and then let the customizations run. Also, double check that the MSL code stuck. I had an issue where it didn't once and it took me a bit to figure it out.

Now, have you gotten the ESN added yet? If not don't call Verizon at first, give this a shot instead. Call *228 and then choose option 3 to activate a new phone on your current line. The service should go through the motions to add your device. This worked for me and I would love to have confirmation on this working from another person.

OK please don't flame me because I am a total newb, but how can flashing the ROM change which service the phone works on. I know sprint and verizon are CMDA but isn't it different frequencies? I used the sprint ROM on my vogue (it is a verizon device) and still was able to make calls on the verizon network.

Its the same band... just the PRLs are different for each carrier, as it chooses which towers the phone connects to? (i think)

its still wont flash to the verizon signed ruu.... It just sits at the HTC screen it sat there for 5 hours.. could somebody please walk me through this(getting a stock VZW Rom on my vogue that is)

Where did you get the Verizon ROM from? Link to it please so I can look at it.

Have you made all of the other needed changes? Like the epst settings?

The rom i tried using is the one off of rapid share its xv6900_RUU_signed. And what ESPT settings are you talking about... please enlighten me. lol I have no idea how to do this, all i know how to do is change the SPC to 000000 and flash a custom rom to the phone. I dont know what else i have to do to get this to work. If somebody gives me a really good answer and i get my phone to work i will donate them money because i am so desperate right now. Also if somebody can help me get the stock verizon rom to work I might consider donating to them too. :) Okay this is the deal with the stock rom....I load the original sprint rom, i run unlocker 2.31, i flash with RUU using the xv6900_RUU_signed from rapidshare, the phone loads to 100% and restarts but when it restarts it still shows the sprint boot screen and freezes there and never boots into windows.

Try that one. You don't need to do the Bitpim stuff inn step number 3.

Flash rom I recommend using radio 1.43 on verizon so if you go with a helmi 6.1 search for that radio version or pull it from the stock rom link above.


What does that mean? Can someone give me the link to that rom
