Page pool increase problem
 

I searched but couln't find the answer. I want to simply increase the page pool of the official 6.1 ROM but am having probs...I downloaded from HTC then extracted w/ winrar. I then used the pagepool tool and increased it to 24. I then ran the RUU in the folder I extracted to and it's a no go. It goes to the bootloader and then says updating to 0.0.0.0, finishes in about 5 seconds and thats it. Old ROM still on the phone. I assume I have to repack the original exe but I have no idea how nor did I find the answer through search...any ideas?

Increasing the pagepool simply by using a program is dangerous. With the Manilla ROMs, it has been hard coded into the app.

You're probably right...I searched for a stock rom w/ only pagepool increased but didn't find one hence this attempt at finding a way to do it. I didn't like manilla too much.

is there a way to increase pagepool without flashing rom?

Yes, there are programs that will do this for you, but as I said, they are dangerous and ultimately, could brick your phone. There is a walkthrough over at XDA, but it clearly states that it is for advanced users only. It involves manipulating HEX strings and what not.
