Noob question about ActiveSync and Bluetooth
 

***Edited for a 3rd Time :) ***** Now I have my LAN working with BT, but not the PAN. Is there any way to view the files on my PC from my phone using the LAN instead of the PAN? Thanks again :) I didn't want to start a whole new thread since this one is only a few hours old.

I am using OMJ's latest ROM and a RocketFish Bluetooth adapter.


EDITED: I have gotten in to attempt to open a port over BT with ActiveSync. However, I get an error that says it cannot communicate with the port because the port is not available. Any suggestions for this?

EDITED AGAIN: I somehow figured it out...Not entirely sure what I did, but ActiveSync is working via BT now. :) Now does anyone want to help me setup my BT PAN? ;)

how did you get this to work? I have the device paired with the laptop but the activesync service does not show up on the phone.

For BT PAN, all you have to do is open up Comm Manager (phone), and click connect. Done there. On the computer, right click on the BT icon in the system tray, and click "Join a Personal Area Network" then after a slight pause, a list will come up. Select your phone then "connect." After it says "Connection Successful" you are up and ready to go!

Any chance of getting the steps you used to Activesync via BT? I have worked on it but cannot get it sync. Thanks for any help.
