Re: Phone volume is way too low.
You know, its funny how this is the only CONSISTENTLY horrible thing about HTC phones. The ear piece volume was bad from the 6600 on up. Whoever the audio engineer is over at HTC, they must have bat ears.
If you're on sprint, you can change the codec used between the phone and tower for a slight boost. I don't have a link handy, but I've posted it before here on ppcgeeks.

Re: Phone volume is way too low.
If you go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Ring/AttenuationCategory
Change the Value data it will increase your ring volume. I would not recommend going any higher than 7 though after that the sound gets a little distorted. you also need an application to change your registry.....I use PHM RegEdit file found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=273439 I'm not sure about your audio while talking though....I was gonna say Audio Booster but it seems your already using it. if you find a solution to volume while talking please post it. p.s. if you found that I've helped in any way feel free to hit the thank you button. p.s.s. thanks in advance Last edited by cutz; 09-25-2008 at 10:33 AM. |

Re: Phone volume is way too low.
I've cranked this up to 10 but it doesn't seem to make the in-call volume any louder on my Touch after a soft reset. Running WM6.1 on latest Bell stock ROM. Will this only work on a cooked ROM? Thanks

Re: Phone volume is way too low.
install the audiopara cab. it works, only thing is you'll use the rear speaker. in call volume is significantly boosted and sound from the headphones works just fine. if you need your call volume boosted, then do it.
