Updating Alltel Touch Radio
 

My ROM is 3.04.671.2 WWE w/ no ROM date and I cannot find the information regarding my radio anywhere in my settings. I am with Alltel and I plan on flashing a custom ROM very soon but I need to make sure I have an updated radio. I cannot get this from the HTC site, does anybody have the radio upgrade that I can download?

the radio are all built into the official 6.1 updates from other carriers, So if you want the latest radio, try to download the offfical 6.1 update off HTC website, and then flash to bell. Let the entire thing run.

When it is restarting and get to run customizer, then press your stylus into the reset button, DO NOT LET THE CUSTOMIZER RUN. then when you have done that, you now have the latest radio around.

So any of the 6.1 updates will flash successfully to my Alltel vogue, but just make sure to soft reset before the the customization begins?

yes it wont matter what carrier you have, or what official rom you use, just so you soft reset before the cusomization runs you will be fine. so yeah, you can use sprint, bell telus or anything. even if you are on alltel.

I've tried using the Sprint ROM upgrade and the Bell upgrade off of the htc website and neither one will flash to my phone. Do i need to unlock the phone as if I'm about to perform a custom ROM flash to be able to get them to flash correctly?

you shouldnt have to, what error code is it saying?

you can always try flashing from bootloader. it is a nice shortcut, so you dont even have to wait for the battery to be 50%.

Hold down the power key and camera key. Then while holding these down press your stylus into the reset button. This will load up a tri-color screen.

when you get this screen, plug your phone into the usb and then try and flash the offical sprint ROM.

Error 328: Invalid Command
"This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please check your Update Utility."

This is the exact message I receive. Any suggestions?

I also tried flashing by manually going into the tri-color screen and I got the same Error 328

try this, I dont see 328 in there. Are you positive you have the correct Vogue files, and not the Titan or anything?

Positive, I just redownloaded the ROM upgrades from the HTC website and I keep getting the Error 328.
