sprint reciption trouble

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is any way to increase the reception on my htc touch. I am currently with sprint. i had the ppc-6700 before the touch and it never gave me issues regarding the signal strength. if anyone knows of anything and would like to share it with me i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

PS. i contacted sprint and they did the PRL update but still no luck. the phone is also brand new because i just had the insurence give me a new phone

sprint.does offer tha airave.....the airave is a device that strengthens your signal n your home, its works like a personal mini tower in your house. the device itself is $99.99 and you have to get a $10 coverage plan to go with it. check it out at sprint.com

the only other things i can think of is the settings of your phone.....Sprint Only, Automatic, or Roaming. Check and see what its currently set on change if neccesary and tell me the results.....

get a 6700 -- better antenna!
often a stub is not a stub for no reason.
I miss my old stubby; esp. the macro lens on the camera.

What reception problems are you having? The Touch has the best reception of any Sprint phone I've used, its right up there next to the Q and it blows away my old 700wx (which had a stub antenna).

i get dropped calls all the time and i get no more than 2 bars on evdo. i thought it was this particular phone but the one i owned previously did the same thing.

Call *18 on your phone. This will disconnect you to the current tower you maybe on and connect you to the closest one to you. You'll hear two busy tones then the call will drop. This works for me sometimes.
