First time phone modding, please help?
 

Hey guys,

I have never modded a phone before at all. I have never had a smartphone or anything to really mess with, and I just picked up this Touch from sprint about 2 weeks ago. I only picked it up as a placeholder for the HTC Diamond Pro, which I am very excited for. However, until then, I would like to get my hands dirty. I've modded and messed around with all kinds of stuff, from game consoles to WVista.

Now I have looked, but i havent been able to find any recent updates. Has sprint made their version of the touch GPS compatible? With google maps for instance? Or do i still have to go in manually and flash the rom and get the gps to work? All of the sources i have looked at are a several months to a year old, and I'm very curious to know if this issue has been updated or not. Also, if there is a FAQ on this specific topic i should read please direct me to it.
