XV6900 and WM6.1?

Anyone know where or how to get 6.1 on the 6900 yet? I've been waiting for so long for Verizon to release the copy so I can have a smoother OS along with threaded texts finally... Just wondering! Thanks guys!

Quickest way: build your own ROM. PPCKitchen.org. Works great with my xv6900.
