help! touch screen wont work
 

like the title says touch screen won't work! the hard buttons work but nothing on the screen works. does anybody have any suggestions? i hard reset and everything and nothing is working. it slowly got to this point. help!

did you have welcome disabled so your screen maybe unaligned. if not i hope you have insurance otherwise you might as well go on a smart phone forum. :)

it's not an unalignment issue. the screen is 100% non-responsive. thanks for the thought though.

As you may already have figured out you can access your phone using the MyMobiler utility when syncing to your PC.

There's a reg key adjustment for screen sensitivity which I'd check if I was you. Of course if it's a hardware issue perhaps you've got insurance. I'd search for the registry adjustment and go for the hard reset only as a last resort to confirm whether it's hardware or not.

I had the EXACT same problem 2 days ago with my touch......i couldnt even get to the clear storage for a hard reset, all hard keys worked...no touch screen. What i did to fix...... download the new rom update....run and it performs a hard reset, now it functions fine again. chances are it is the same issue. I have heard this several times.:):protest:

that's good advice and i'll try that. how did you get the rom to update without being able to touch the screen though?

I got the same problem my Touch screen doesnt work longer it doesnt give effect when i touch it longer =S just my keys works and hard reset works but the Touch Screen doesnt work=S so can anyone tell what do do? rom update? where do I find it ? and how do I do it without touching the screen.

Get the ROM here: http://www.htc.com/us/support.aspx Pick your carrier ROM. It should do everything for you. Search for mymobiler too. It's an app that lets you control your PPC from your desktop so you can backup your data before reflashing.
