Telus Rom Help

Hey guys, I have a Bell Touch that I've changed the rom about 1000 times. I have a friend who has a Telus Touch. My question is about changing the rom on his. I noticed for the "OEM" upgrade rom on HTC website for the Telus, has a few different steps that the Bell roms dont require. Wondering if I can use the unlocker and just upgrade it as I do with mine? Any ideas guys? Thanks!
