Sprints "UN/OFFICIAL" ROM

So with a fun day I had yesterday with sprint Tech support and getting no where I got a little info out of them. For all the people that have the BASIC UNOFFICIAL rom, according to them thats the OFFICIAL ROM. They said that u can go from Touch's website, then to sprints website and download it. I havent been able to find it though. I thought that this was weird but you know sprint. Anyone hear the same?

So is this a beta test ver. of the ROM or its the final and test ver? Do you guys recommend using this ver. over the original ROM that came with the touch?

Thanks

yes i would definitely recommend the ROM on HTC's over the ROM that came with the phone. then i advise unlocking your phone and running a custom ROM on there because there are some great chefs on this site that will greatly improve the performance of your phone.

Devilish,

This is the final released version, not a beta or anything else. Officially supported. If you took your phone to the sprint stores, this is what they'd flash to it. :)

Thank you for your reply. Now I will read even more to learn how I can flash my phone with this new ROM.

Thanks again.

really simple.
Charge your phone
Remove your SD card
connect to your PC thru activesync
start the program and follow the instructions.
Make sure you have an uninterrupted 20 minutes or so.

*Remember, all data will be gone when completed and restores are generally a BAD idea.
