can one connect external USB device to Touch?
Sorry if it is a dumb question..
I have a a Pharos USB GPS and I'd like to connect it to my Touch to compare the performance with the built-in one... I'm not sure if such a thing is allowed by standards, though, and if it is, one needs perhaps to install a device driver for WM6.1? (Cable-wise it is possible with the help of a little sex-change usb adapter, that I've seen in the stores) can someone clarify this please... thanks a lot in advance |
Re: can one connect external USB device to Touch?
You cant connect it directly but some GPS receivers have a bluetooth addon clip, so you can pair it to a phone or a laptop.

I also have the Pharos GPS from MST 2006..bought a female to female usb to plug the USB cable from the Pharos to the USB that plugs into the Unit but it does not seem to power the GPS like a normal USB does...
SO I had to order a bluetooth adapter for the GPS to use it... |
